Today I set out to make history. I had the quirky idea to play the most holes on the hottest day in Las Vegas history and play an 18 hole round in the fastest time on the hottest day ever recorded. Today is June 20th, and temperatures were forecast to reach record highs of 117 degrees. It’s now 6:41 pm and according to US News 117 degrees was reached in the Las Vegas metro. I completed the 36 holes and shot 78, 81 at Las Vegas Golf Club on Decatur and West Washington Blvd, 4300 West Washington Blvd. Las Vegas, NV. The second 18 holes I played, I teed off at 12:57 pm and finished at 2:29 pm. That is a 1 hour and 32 minute round using a golf cart! I submitted an application for a record with the Guinness Book of World Records and will here back from them within 5 weeks. The question now is did I set a record? We will wait and see… to be continued.
