December 3rd, 2019 – A year in review – The best year so far…

One year ago today I was on a flight home from Sydney, Australia to join my colleagues at Tesla to sell through the holiday season and try to reach a new milestone in sustainable energy. A month and half later I was laid off with a severance and decided to capitalize on the separation by taking another trip to Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan, Thailand, Bali Indonesia, and Singapore. When I returned I had another job working from home and I was let go from that company after just 3 weeks. So I decided to take my dad to Costa Rica and visit my friends Keith, Tim and Veronica and their kids. When I returned from this trip I had another job waiting that lasted through the summer and I got to go to Venice, Florida for training. Needless to say this company dissolved and I received another severance. It was after this layoff I realized God was trying to tell me something and I knew it was time for another trip. This time around the world. I reached out to friends I knew around the planet and asked if I could visit them.

My dream was coming true, I got responses from Gökay Akin in Turkey, Ehab Maher Maamoun in Egypt, Annie Vu in England, and Mayko Chwen Wang in France.  I wasn’t able to see all of them due to scheduling conflicts, but I did have the blessing to see Gokay and Ehab on two of the most epic journeys I have ever experienced.  I coined this trip the World Tour where I would document as much of my trip as possible and eventually put together a novel.  I also took thousands of photos that I will edit and share with the world because this was my wish come true.  I traveled to 12 different countries including England, Wales, Ireland, Spain, Portugal, Italy, The Vatican, Turkey, Egypt, The United Arab Eremites, Thailand and Singapore.  I took 16 flights, 2 trains, 2 ferries, 2 speed boats, numerous taxis, ride shares, buses, subways, and walked hundreds of miles around the world.

Below you will find photos of my last year with pictures of my friends and places I have been.  Please enjoy them and remember the moral of my story is life isn’t always what it appears to be, opportunities present themselves in many different ways.  It’s a choice we have when we decide what we do with our time.  Choose wisely and you can also make your wish come true.

Rosati’s Pizza oh how I love you…

First things first, I love pizza. I mean seriously love it, but not all pizzas are made the same. Some are fat, some are thin, and some will have you coming back for more time and time again. Rosati’s without a doubt is a go to for any pizza lover living in the Las Vegas valley. They offer Chicago deep dish, as well as thin crust options. I always seem to gravitate to their thin crust combination because it offers a decadent array of meat, vegetables, and cheese. The result is a mouth watering temptation which makes you crave every bite and saddened when the last piece is gone. I stopped in the location on Rainbow after a round of golf on Monday night, and found myself with an NFL game discount. Although I had to point out ot my server that there was a Monday night football game going on to get the discount applied to my bill, he nonetheless recognized the mistake and applied the savings. Rosati’s also offers several great draft beer specials, and I noticed a half off pizza special from 2:30 to 4:30 pm, but I would call them to make sure. Rosati’s has several locations, but I stopped at the one on Rainbow. Their address is 8060 S Rainbow Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89139

Craft your own pizza at PizzaRev

Think Subway sandwiches but with pizza and beer. For just under $10 you can build your own pizza and wash it down with a draft beer on Las Vegas’s west side, not far from Rhodes Ranch. I had the chance to dine at PizzaRev after work with the Daylight crew and we tore up 5 pizzas. It was great. PizzaRev gets two thumbs up for value and cleanliness. You can find them at 7090 South Rainbow Boulevard, Suite 110, Las Vegas, NV 89118, and two other locations in Las Vegas at 2400 S Rancho Dr Suite #100, Las Vegas, NV 89102, and 1381 W Sunset Rd, Henderson, NV 89014.

Chickpeas Mediterranean Cafe Las Vegas

Chickpeas Mediterranean cafe is an interesting and delicious experience in the heart of Las Vegas’s West side.  Chickpeas offers a variety of food from generous portions of decadent salads, pizza, appetizers, and kabobs.  I had the BBQ chicken pizza and it was fantastic.  The Greek salad is massive and the kabobs are flavored with authentic Mediterranean seasonings that will fulfill your mouth watering desires.  You can find Chickpeas at 6110 W Flamingo Rd, Las Vegas, NV 89103.
