Terrace after hours Las Vegas @ Larry Flynt’s Hustler Club

If you want to dance the night away into the wee hours of the morning with an awesome view of Las Vegas and women walking around in lingerie then this is the spot to go to.  I’ve been here several times, but my friend Jaime Narvaez happened to be spinning records on Sunday over Labor day weekend and boy did he not disappoint.  My happy feet were moving and the eye candy was on point.  I had so much fun and will be going back for more.  You can find Terrace on the top level of Larry Flynt’s Huster club at 6007 Dean Martin Dr, Las Vegas, NV 89118.  Also, the entrance is on the south side of the building and not through the main entrance of the Hustler Club.

The Golden Steer Las Vegas

The Golden Steer has been a staple of Las Vegas for many decades, yet I have eluded this timeless masterpiece without much intrigue.  If it wasn’t for a recent post by my friend who had alas entered this marvelous steakhouse and wrote about it, I perhaps would be without a review of my own.   The Golden Steer on Sahara about a block down from the corner of Sahara and Las Vegas Blvd is home to Las Vegas’s biggest baked potato, an assortment of steaks, seafood, salads, and pasta.  It is a throw back to the days when waiters wore bow ties and the dark ambiance will have you feeling like you’re dining in the 1960’s.  I took my father here for his 76th birthday, and although the Steer had an hour wait, we entertained ourselves with video poker and complimentary drinks at the bar.  For dinner we had the porterhouse, and the filet mignon and lobster tail combination that came with a salad, and side choice being the gargantuan sized baked potato.   You can find the Golden Steer at 308 W Sahara Ave, Las Vegas, NV 89102.

Summer 2018

I’ve been quite active this summer having traveled to Los Angeles, San Francisco, Chicago, and a few small towns in between.  It’s been great catching up with friends and building on memories.  I’ve been driving Lyft on the side to make extra money for my travel expenses and it’s been amazing meeting so many people from all over the world.  I have truly found a part time business where I can make my own hours and cash in on my rides whenever I want.  Las Vegas has been really good to me and I’m really happy here.   Anyway, I have been slacking on my blog and have so much to share.  I decided it was time to create a consolidated post and highlight some of my best pictures of food, golf, and travel over this amazing summer.  I’ll get into details later…Enjoy.

Herradero Carniceria, the best kept secret in Las Vegas…

Wow Wow Wow, this Mexican meat market near my home has me in complete awe.  I have driven by it thousands of times, but never bothered to stop in until a few weeks ago and I was blown away by the selection of fresh produce, meats, cheeses, and other items like Mexican pastries.  My first time I bought some carne asada,  cheese, small corn tortillas, and some salsa to make tacos at home.  After the finished product was crafted and brought to my lips for the taste test, my first thoughts after tasting my own tacos was that I had stumbled upon a recipe that  I could literally open my open taco stand with.  It was that good.  Tonight I went back to make a home made salad with chicken and I found the produce to be the freshest I have had in Nevada and the prices were on point.   I will be going back again and again and again.  You can find Herradero at  3655 S Decatur Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89103.

Electric Daisy Carnival Las Vegas, NV 2018

The last time I went to Electric Daisy Carnival was in Los Angeles, Ca.  The event was held there for years before moving to Las Vegas due to a young lady’s death at the event.  Over the years tickets have become rather expensive and I have had to work during the festival so I had not made it out to the Las Vegas motor speedway to experience the lights, rides, music and people, but this year 2018 I had my chance.  I signed up for a job to help clean up the event and I was given a weekend all access pass.  I had a great time and I’m glad I got the opportunity.  Check out my photos and videos below.

KoKoRo Ramen is a diamond in the rough.

KoKoRo Ramen is on the outskirts of Las Vegas.  Located on Flamingo near the 215 interstate this gem is found outside of the traditional location of Chinatown where most of it’s competitors can be visited.  If you have tried other ramen places in Las Vegas like Sora, Jinya, or Monta you will find  packed environments and usually you’ll have to wait to get a table.  At KoKoRo ramen the word is not yet out and you can easily be seated within seconds which is what I experienced the two times I have been there.  The food is good, the noodles aren’t quite as authentic tasting as you will find at places like Monta, but still you will find an exceptionally pleasing bowl of ramen.  You can find KoKoRo Ramen at 9484 W Flamingo Rd ste 175, Las Vegas, NV 89147.  Also, try the chashu fried rice, it is delicious.

What a day at Reflection Bay.

Reflection Bay is my new favorite golf course in the Las Vegas vicinity. Nestled around Lake Las Vegas, Reflection Bay offers 18 holes of pristine green lush fairways, bunkers filled with white sand, fast true rolling greens, and breath taking water holes. I found myself here after meeting the club pro who invited me to come check out this course. I was amazed with the sheer beauty of the layout and as a guest you really don’t feel like you’re in the Las Vegas. The course reminded me of being in Southern California or somewhere in Baja, Mexico. The place is just gorgeous and if you are looking to get away from the city Reflection Bay is the perfect place to do it. You can find Reflection Bay at 75 Montelago Blvd, Henderson, NV 89011.

Don’t stay at the D if you care about your safety and your belongings

I have stayed at The D hotel on Fremont street a few times, but this last time was a total disaster. I was robbed in my hotel room while I was sleeping. It took the hotel a month to craft a report as to what happened, and their response was disappointing. They made me feel like it was some how my fault and that I must have invited the burglars to my room to take my items. I was able to track my phone the morning that I found out that it was missing and I gave the information to the D security. The hotel even has the photos of the suspects and still nothing. This hotel has a great steak house, and a pretty cool casino, but don’t stay here until they figure out how to keep out the trash they let roam around their hallways looking for rooms to break into. I was violated and their response “Go fuck yourself”!
