Staycation at The D Las Vegas

The D Las Vegas is a vintage downtown hotel located on Fremont Street aka “The Fremont Experience”… This ideal location gives the D it’s lure for tourists and locals looking to spend the night in the historic downtown district of Las Vegas. I found a spectacular deal on expedia.com for $37 a night, but then went to the D web site and found the same room for $29. They run these specials during the week, and like most other hotels the D’s best rates can be found during weekdays. The D does charge a resort fee of $22.50 per day, but does have complimentary valet parking, a swimming pool, and fitness center. This hotel also features one of the best steakhouses in town, The Andiamo, but I have yet to try it for a review of my own. I suggest checking out the 2nd floor of the casino for some old school casino games, including a simulated horse race that will remind you of your childhood. One draw back to this hotel is the loud music coming from Fremont Street, so if you are looking for a quiet night’s sleep the D probably isn’t the best place to do it.
